My AI writes reading books for my daughter and checks every word
Library beginner readers were too short to be worth the trip. So my wife asked Jarvis if it could write some. It could, and it checked every word against the rules before she printed them.
Original books at her exact level
Beginner readers follow strict rules. A book about the short a sound should only use simple short a words, plus a small set of sight words a kid already knows. Short sentences, big type, a picture on every page, a line that repeats so the child can predict it.
Jarvis wrote a pack of three little books, each locked to one vowel: Pat the cat, Kit the pig and Dot the dog. Each had a page for parents saying which sound and which sight words it practises, plus a couple of coaching tips. The same afternoon it made the next set, a set for mixing up b and d, and matching worksheets.
A checker, not a promise
The part that makes this trustworthy is a validator. Before any PDF went out, a script checked every target word against the rule for that book, every sentence for length, and the text in the finished PDF against what was written. If one word broke the rule, the pack did not ship.
It also told us honestly that the reading level label is not an exact phonics scope, and offered to tune the next pack to whatever sound she was learning that week. Rules you can check beat rules you hope were followed. That is true for kids' books and for anything your business sends out.
We build agents that prove their work follows the rules before it goes out the door.
