Data Deletion Instructions

This page explains what information Obsidian AI Labs Inc. holds about you, how to have it deleted, and how long that takes. It applies to information we obtain through Facebook and Instagram as well as information you send us directly.

What we obtain from Facebook and Instagram

We operate our own Facebook Page and Instagram account. Through Meta's official APIs we access only what relates to our own accounts:

• Comments left on our posts, and the public username of the person who left them
• Messages sent to our Page or Instagram account, and the sender's public username
• Aggregate statistics about our own posts, such as reach and impressions

We do not access your friends list, your personal profile beyond your public username, your private content, or anything belonging to accounts other than our own. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not use it for advertising targeting.

How to request deletion

Email privacy@obsidianailabs.ca with the subject line Data Deletion Request. Tell us:

• the Facebook or Instagram username you used, or the email address you contacted us from
• roughly when you interacted with us, if you remember

You do not need an account with us, you do not need to give a reason, and there is no charge.

What happens next

• We acknowledge your request within 5 business days.
• We delete the data within 30 days and confirm in writing when it is done.
• Deletion covers our records, our logs and our backups. Where a backup cannot be edited in place, it is deleted when that backup expires on its normal schedule, and no later than 90 days.

If we are legally required to keep something, for example a record of a transaction for tax purposes, we will tell you exactly what we kept and why.

Deleting a comment yourself

A comment you left on one of our posts is held by Meta, not only by us. You can delete it yourself at any time directly on Facebook or Instagram, which removes it at the source. Ask us as well and we will remove any copy we hold.

Removing our app's access

If you have granted any Obsidian AI Labs application access to your Facebook or Instagram account, you can revoke it yourself:

• Facebook: Settings & Privacy, then Settings, then Apps and Websites. Select the app and choose Remove.
• Instagram: Settings, then Website Permissions, then Apps and Websites.

Revoking access stops any future access immediately. Email us as above to also delete data already held.

Your other rights

Under Canadian privacy law you may also ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you are not satisfied with our response. Requests go to the same address.
