My AI does the home office math I would never do by hand

If you run a business from home, part of your mortgage, hydro, insurance, and heat is a legitimate deduction. The catch is you have to pull every one of those costs from your personal bank records and apply the right ratio. It is tedious enough that most people just skip it and leave money behind. Laura does it for me.

The deduction people leave on the table

The home office deduction is real money, but claiming it properly is a chore. You have to go through a year of personal bank activity, pull out the shelter costs, sort them into mortgage interest, property tax, insurance, hydro, gas, and water, then apply the fraction of your home the business actually uses.

Laura parses the records, categorizes each cost into the right bucket, and applies our home office ratio to produce the deductible amount for each one. The ratio is small, a few percent, because the office is a few percent of the house. Getting it exact is what keeps the claim defensible.

Precise and defensible

The reason to automate this is not just saving time, it is getting it right. A home office claim that uses a made up round number is the kind of thing that invites questions. One built from your actual costs and a correct ratio is one you can stand behind.

She does the arithmetic the same careful way every year, and shows the work. I get the deduction without the dread.

There is deduction money you are leaving behind because the math is annoying. We build the agent that does it.
