My CFO runs on a six dollar a month server and works through my lunch

I will not be hiring a human CFO for a long time. The math does not work at my revenue, and it will not for a while. But the cost of not having one is that your books quietly rot until the day you can finally afford the person to clean them up. So I built one that runs on a small server for a few dollars a month.

What she did while I was at lunch

One day I went out for lunch and came back ninety minutes later. In that window my CFO agent connected to our live books, found and prepared fixes for old miscategorizations, set up a new customer across our billing and accounting systems, flagged the transactions she could not reconcile, and diagnosed why some charges were not importing. I did not type any of it. I ate lunch. She did the work.

She does not need the lunch, or the salary, or the reminder. She runs on a small cloud server that costs less than one hour of a person's wages for the entire month.

The pattern that scales down

The usual story is that you get financial discipline once you are big enough to hire for it. That is backwards. The early years are exactly when a small error compounds the longest, and they are also when you have the least help. An agent that knows your company specifically, runs daily, and shows up whether or not you remember to ask is financial discipline you can afford at the very start.

The decisions stay mine. Whether to drop a vendor, take a sale, keep building. The agent does the work between those decisions, which is the part that was quietly rotting before. That is the whole pitch. Not that AI is amazing, but that the work which used to require a hire you could not justify now runs for the price of coffee.

Financial discipline should not wait until you can afford the hire. We build the agent that gives it to you now.
