My wife was done typing school dates into the calendar, so I built Jarvis
Every month the daycare and the school send a new calendar. My wife told me she did not want to type it in anymore. I did not want to either. So I built an AI for our home and named it Jarvis.
It started with one monthly chore
Daycare dates. School dates. A new sheet every month, and every one of them had to be typed into our calendars by hand. It took forever. My wife finally said she was done with it.
I said, hold my beer. I set up an AI agent just for our home life. It can see both of our emails and both of our calendars, and it lives in Telegram on our phones.
Now she just takes a picture
When the new calendar comes home, my wife snaps a photo and sends it to Jarvis. Well, Jarvi. Or Jarv. That is what she calls him now, and the name keeps getting shorter. She types one line: add this to our calendars. He reads every date and puts each one in the right calendar.
She also trained it her way. She told it she likes an emoji on each event, so now every event gets one. I found out when I asked Jarvis to add a chamber event for me. I opened it and there was an emoji on it. I asked her why. She said, because I told him I like it.
Then it started helping our daughter read
Our daughter was struggling with reading. So we asked Jarvis to help. He made reading aids and teaching material just for her.
He is also connected to our printer at home. So he builds the pages and prints them. We just pick them up and sit down with her.
It remembers what we already decided
Jarvis works for both of us. If my wife already sorted something out with it, and I bring the same thing up later, it tells me. This is what she decided. Do you want to change it?
That is the real win. It is not just a calendar tool. It is one helper that keeps our whole house on the same page.
If your team retypes the same thing every month, an agent can take that job off your plate.
